Cautious Managed

Invesco Perpetual Distribution Fund

Standard Initial Charge: 5%
BGY Direct ISA Saving: 5%
Annual Management Charge: 1.5%

The fund aims to achieve a good overall return in the medium to long term with relative security of capital, by investing in a diversified portfolio of fixed and variable income securities and equities. The fund seeks to secure immediate income coupled with potential future growth of income and capital from the equity element, while the bond element is managed with a view to creating income with due regard to capital preservation. The managers have considerable discretion regarding the mix between equities and bonds, as well as wide powers to invest in both UK and overseas assets. However in order to qualify as a distributing fund at least 60% of the assets must be held in fixed income securities. It falls within the IMA Cautious Managed sector.

Balanced Managed

Jupiter Merlin Balanced Portfolio

Standard Initial Charge: 5.25%
BGY Direct ISA Saving: 5.25%
Annual Management Charge: 1.5%

The fund aims to achieve long-term capital growth with income. It will invest in unit trusts, OEICs and other regulated collective schemes across several management groups. The underlying funds invest in UK and international equities and fixed interest stocks. In addition, the level of cash held within the portfolio may be actively managed for strategic or tactical reasons. It falls within the IMA Balanced Managed sector.

Active Managed

Newton Managed

Standard Initial Charge: 4%
BGY Direct ISA Saving: 4%
Annual Management Charge: 1.5%

The fund aims to achieve capital growth and income from a portfolio of predominantly UK, EC and international securities. In practice the performance target is to achieve consistent first quartile performance over rolling three year periods although ultimately Newton believes that the longer term absolute return is more relevant than the relative return. It falls within the IMA Active Managed sector.
