Baker Gladstone & York Direct was the brainchild of David and Peter Gladstone, directors of the highly successful and truly independent financial advisers Baker Gladstone & York Ltd.

BGY Direct was set up to provide clients with a platform from where they can access a wide range of collective investments at vastly reduced costs. In many cases the initial charges on the investments are reduced to zero! How can we do this?  Well, due to our position in the market place, we are able to negotiate large discounts with the investment companies and pass these onto you. Bizarrely, if you go directly to an investment company to buy its funds you will pay more.

The BGY Direct service is designed for investors who prefer to make their investment decisions without financial advice. It has evolved in response to demands from clients, the enhancement of technology and the ever changing regulatory landscape.

Baker Gladstone & York Ltd has teamed up with Cofunds, the UK’s leading independent investment platform, to offer access to over 1,300 funds, run by more than 90 fund management groups.

Consolidation

To help make your life easier, why not consolidate our funds through BGY Direct, even if they were bought elsewhere?  This cuts down on paperwork, as each year you will only receive one consolidated statement for all your fund investments as opposed to one from each company (often twice a year). You also have full online access to your portfolio, including continually updated valuations, at your fingertips. If you wish to change a fund in your portfolio, for whatever reason, you can simply switch to another one without sacrificing the tax benefits of your ISA. CoFunds have over 1300 funds on their platform. It is possible that you may have a fund which is not on this list. If so, it will not be possible to reregister this fund.
